Portraiture. This is what I have the most experience with. I have photographed tens of thousands of portraits since 1985. I offer two types of portraits; Classical, this is where Rembrandt lighting (or other classical setups are used) along with classical 'old master' backdrops are used to produce a timeless portrait that will never go out of style. How can I say that? Well, Rembrandt used it over 400 years ago and we are still employing some of that same technique today. The other type of portrait that I offer is Modern. It is a more contemporary look often going outside or using different techniques for a very different style look.
We also offer a classical portrait shot with real film on a large format camera. The 4x5 inch negative is then placed on a silver based 5x7 inch paper for a true contact print. I love it.

Drone Photography -

Photojournalism
I believe that story-telling is at the heart of every photographer. Some tell a story through a series of pictures of something near and dear to them. Others, like master photographer Karsh, can tell a story with one single portrait. A picture is worth a thousand words. I have covered the news large and small and I believe this puts me in a unique position to really reach through and understand and tell a story, especially trauma. I have been in places where my camera and pen were the only way that someone's story was going to be told. It's humbling.
I have been embedded with fire departments, traveled into dangerous territory, went against the grain of main street journalism and still have come back with a story and a photo! I'm proud of that. I think you have to charge into a story and never back down, even when you are the only one on that side of the line and all the other press is standing with the press release version - stand your ground and never give an inch - the truth will make it out!
